BDS is seeking a Meta Events Operations Manager to oversee the planning and production of global event activations. This role includes managing a team of Product Experience Specialists to ensure a seamless experience for attendees, and collaborates with the North American and EMEA National Operations Managers to coordinate staffing for events ranging from small meetings to large-scale productions. As a strategic liaison between management and employees, the Events Operations Manager optimizes performance and delivers exceptional results. Additionally, this role involves working with key stakeholders to enhance the brand experience and achieve goals.

 

This is full-time opportunity will consistently work out of our client's NYC-based office. Travel for select events and flexible working hours are required.

Compensation

$85,000-$90,000 annual salary

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage the planning and preparation of product experience events and the associated demo staffing allocations for them
  • Collaborate with event producers and requestors to align appropriate staffing via proposal and quote creation based on event requirements
  • Allocate demo staff to events based on skill and availability
  • Management of event activations leading up to event, execution of the event, and reporting post-event
  • Act as a strategic liaison between management and employees, wielding decision-making authority to drive business and operational outcomes
  • Interview and train event staff
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees, offering guidance/support, and conducting performance management activities as needed
  • Partner closely with BDS Account Team and client to meet and exceed goals while improving the brand experience for customers
  • Complete all required reporting and analysis within specified timeframes
  • Other duties as assigned by management 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Experience and Education: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of event management in the technology industry experience required
  • Experience conducting product experience demonstrations required
  • Experience in client management and working effectively with key stakeholders
  • Experience with AR/VR and gaming technology preferred

Skills and Attributes: 

  • Strong interpersonal communication, soft skills, written, verbal, and on-camera
  • Ability to foster business relationships and collaborate at multiple levels (internal & client facing) 
  • Ability to show patience and tact and remain calm under pressure during change
  • Strong time management and organizational skills  
  • Proficient in utilizing Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Ability to practice good judgment in analyzing information, strategic/critical thinking, and decision-making, with minimal direction
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends to support events
  • Ability to adhere to processes, procedures, and project management techniques

  • Regularly talk, sit, stand, walk and bend over, repetitive use of hands/arms, repetitive use of legs and grasp 
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs 
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs 
  • Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation 
  • Able to travel by air and car up to 10% of the time
