We are looking for a talented and motivated Digital B2C Content Copywriter to join our team. This role focuses on creating engaging and persuasive copy for e-commerce product detail pages, with the goal of driving conversions through clear, compelling product descriptions for the client. The ideal candidate will have experience writing for consumer audiences and possess a strong understanding of digital best practices, particularly in e-commerce.

 

This full-time, hybrid role requires 2-3 days per week on-site at our client’s Chicago office, while the remainder days may be worked remotely. This position holds normal office hours (8am-5pm, M-F).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Craft and edit compelling product detail page copy that highlights product benefits, features, and specifications, while maintaining the client's brand’s voice and tone
  • Collaborate with client product marketing, design, and e-commerce teams to optimize copy for both SEO and conversion
  • Continuously refine copy based on A/B testing, data analysis, and consumer feedback to enhance engagement and drive sales
  • Stay informed of digital and e-commerce trends to ensure the copy is competitive and meets consumer expectations
  • Develop and maintain consistent messaging across the website, ensuring product pages align with the client brand’s positioning and values
  • Work closely with client cross-functional teams (e.g., product marketing, design, and brand) to support broader e-commerce initiatives and campaigns
  • Ensure all content complies with legal and regulatory requirements, including product claims and disclosures

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital copywriting, with a focus on e-commerce
  • Strong portfolio showcasing relevant copywriting experience
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing best practices
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) and basic web analytics

Skills and Attributes:

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Experience adapting copy for global audiences and diverse cultural contexts
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
