We’re looking for a driven Virtual Brand Manager who loves to build relationships with customers and sales associates to help drive sales.

Overview

PURPOSE:

As a full-time Virtual Brand Manager, you will drive sales brand awareness of our client's products by educating, training, and building relationships at assigned retail stores both in-person and virtually on-line.

 

In-Stores: You’ll be responsible for product knowledge, demonstrating product, promoting, developing and building strong partnerships, and ultimately increasing product sales. Additionally, you’ll be collecting and reporting on in-store training, in-store activities, and competitive information as well as maintaining brand presence at retail through merchandising, display maintenance/cleanliness and POP.

 

On-Line: You’ll be responsible for creating training and demonstration videos, host live demo events and provide 1:1 product demos and recommendations. Additionally, you’ll be reviewing and responding to product reviews and answering shopper’s questions on retailer.com.

 

You are intrinsically inquisitive, passionate, and excited about what new gadgets are in the marketplace.  You are a storyteller that likes to explain the nuances that a product carries and how it can benefit peoples’ lives. You have the ability to influence others through your social media presence by creating brand awareness and building customer loyalty for the brand through your storytelling. You like to partner with our clients to deliver exceptional results and work to enhance daily retail performance. The role requires a 4 year undergraduate degree or equivalent in store retail experience preferring in big box brand retailers. understanding of the home appliance and electronics space and visual merchandising in a retail sales environment. In addition, technical skills including using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and video editing software, with the ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video) is preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Scope of Job

  • Train, develop, and educate retail sales specialists on the feature benefits of client's products
  • Educate and communicate home appliance and electronics knowledge
  • Demonstrate product to customers on a regular basis
  • Possess experience and detailed knowledge in home appliance and electronics
  • Build strong partnerships with consumers and clients
  • Visually display merchandise retail locations with in-store promotional material
  • Moderate retailer.com and social media pages
  • Creating scripts for videos
  • Creating video content
  • On camera personality for videos and shopper interactions
  • Strategic community building via social media
  • Gather, summarize, and report out on field and channel feedback and insights on a daily and weekly basis
  • Coordinate and execute special awareness and sales events at retail locations
  • Travel to retailers in assigned zone is required and occasional overnight travel may be required, especially during peak selling seasons
  • Work with Client Partnership Manager to facilitate and execute a sell through strategy to maximize the sales of client's products

Development of product awareness in the marketplace

  • Trains, develops and educates retail sales specialists on the features and benefits of client's products
  • Builds strong partnerships which will be pivotal in this supporting role
  • Merchandises retail locations with visual displays and in-store promotional material
  • Implements and troubleshoot visual merchandising
  • Gathers, summarizes and reports on field and channel feedback and insights on a regular basis, aiding in the growth and support of the brand
  • Collects and reports visit data, issues with displays and products, and competitive market data and insights and photos
  • Completes reports thoroughly and on time using online platform (access to internet and computer required)
  • Coordinates and executes special awareness and sales events at retail locations
  • Participates in ongoing trainings provided by CCS to become a product expert and actively engage with teammates and managers through GroupMe and other communication platforms
  • Delivers excellent sales/customer service and proactively greets, educates, and engages customers and store staff on featured products or promotions
  • Socially focused as well as approachable and confident conveying an engaging and persuasive communication style in any setting
  • Understands, retains and articulates product details in an ongoing, enthusiastic and confident manner with the ability to easily connect with customers and store staff
  • Reports on market activities and trends daily
  • Works with store managers and sales associates in big box retail environments to develop plans that will create sales
  • Provides impactful training and education to retail sales associates on the features and benefits of client's products
  • Builds strong partnerships with the store sales associates, providing value through support of your assigned stores

Create video content and manage .com reviews and questions

  • Conceptualizes, creates and edits video content for social media platforms
  • Writes, post, and share engaging and creative copy, stories, images, and videos to promote the associated brands
  • Hosts live demo events and 1:1 virtual shopper experiences
  • Monitors retailer.com and social media groups for opportunities to respond to brand/product inquiries
  • Coordinates cross-functionally in gathering content from individuals throughout the organization
  • Develops processes to drive demand to convert to sales via content and digital assets

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent of four to six years retail experience
  • Thorough understanding of the home appliance and electronics space and visual merchandising in a retail sales environment
  • Ability to educate and communicate product knowledge
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of building successful and collaborative partnerships and relationships
  • Outgoing enthusiastic personality reflecting a self-starter who can work with minimal direct supervision
  • Strong persuasion skills that can effectively shift sales decisions
  • Ability to motivate, influence and promote client's products to the consumers at the retail level
  • Strong negotiation skills needed
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to have access to the internet

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee is generally required to stand and move around a retail environment
  • Required to lift 50 lbs. with the ability to move, install, and/or setup product as needed in stores or for special events and trainings

 

WORK SCHEDULE AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Some evening, and weekend work may be required, particularly in our high seasons such as spring and holiday times
  • Reliable transportation to travel to multiple stores daily within assigned territory and approximately 15% of the time outside of the market.
  • Home environment that is conducive for video content creation
